Buckinghamshire based businesswoman, Pip Thomas, has won first runner –up prize in the Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Pip’s success was announced at the prestigious Buckinghamshire Enterprise Awards 2010 dinner held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Marlow on 11 February.
Pip Thomas is a director of two successful local businesses based in Beachampton – NVest Ltd (sales and product training) and Edge NLP Ltd (specialist Neuro Linguistic Programming consultancy). Previously, she had started and grown a telecom dealership, 1RedCube, which she successfully sold in 2009 to focus on growing NVest and Edge.
Pip comments, “I am delighted to be first runner-up in the Entrepreneur of the Year category. It is a great compliment to me as a business professional that I was first nominated and then placed for a Buckinghamshire Enterprise Award. Over the years I have learnt to measure my professional success in many ways, but nothing can take away from the feeling of being an award winner!”
As well as her many achievements professionally, Pip is a Certified Trainer and Qualified Master Practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming. It was the personal fulfilment gained from her immersion in the world of NLP that led her to set up Edge with Faz Colbhie, a like-minded NLP expert she met on her Master Practitioner Course.
Faz says, “Pip passionately believes that NLP has helped her achieve her dreams, both professionally and personally and is the best example we can have for the power of positive thinking. Not only has NLP helped Pip to push the boundaries in her personal life, it has helped her focus on becoming the businesswoman she is today.”
