Pip Thomas shortlisted for Entrepreneur of the Year
One of our Nvest Directors, Pip Thomas, has been short listed in the Bucks Enterprise Awards 2010 for ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’.
This award identifies and celebrates individual entrepreneurs who are really going places and the award criteria includes:
- Started and built a business/es
- Can demonstrate that they have ambition, energy and skill
- Developed vision to allow them to ‘scale the heights’ within their market sector
Before being shortlisted, Pip was interviewed at our rural premises at Beachampton on Friday the 15th January by Tracey Aldworth and Michael Edmonds from Aylesbury Vale District Council. Some of the things the judges looked for included:
- A high level of creativity and innovation in the development of the business of its products/services in the last 3 years
- A track record of innovative and enterprising activity
- Identification of niche markets and/or new opportunities within existing markets
- Strong leadership that has been integral to the company’s success
- Financial performance and evidence of how the business have managed cash flow and long term sustainability
- Strategic direction – what’s the businesses long term vision and how do you plan to get there?
The winner will be announced at the Awards dinner on Thursday 11th February.
